Offer Audit Worksheet

Before you spend another dollar on ads, run this 6-criteria evaluation framework. Most campaigns fail at the offer level, not the platform, not the targeting, not the creative.

The Real Diagnosis

Ads Don't Fail.
Weak Offers Do.

Every week we review ad accounts where the targeting is solid, the creative is strong, and the budget is adequate. The campaigns still underperform. The common denominator is almost always the same: the offer doesn't convert because it was never built to convert.

This worksheet gives you a structured way to evaluate your offer against the six criteria that separate high-converting offers from expensive experiments. Complete it before you run another campaign.

The Framework

6 Criteria. 20 Minutes.
One Clear Diagnosis.

The worksheet scores your offer across six criteria that account for over 90% of conversion failures we see in our audit requests.

01
Clarity
Can a stranger read your offer and know exactly what they get?

Vague offers create hesitation. If your prospect has to work to understand what they're buying, they won't buy. This criterion scores your offer's clarity across headline, sub-headline, and bullet points.

Red FlagYour headline contains the word 'solutions', 'services', or 'results'.
02
Specificity
Does your offer name a specific outcome, timeline, and mechanism?

The most converting offers follow a formula: [Specific Result] in [Specific Timeframe] via [Specific Mechanism]. Without all three, your offer sounds like every competitor's offer.

Red FlagYour offer says 'grow your business' without a number attached.
03
Value Stack
Does the perceived value dramatically exceed the price?

Hormozi's Grand Slam Offer framework applies here. If your prospect can't immediately see why the price is a bargain relative to the outcome, you have a value stack problem, not a traffic problem.

Red FlagYour price is the first thing people ask about.
04
Risk Reversal
Have you removed the primary reason not to buy?

Every prospect has a dominant objection. Your offer needs to name it and neutralise it before they ask. A guarantee, a trial, a free diagnostic, or a conditional refund all serve this function.

Red FlagYour offer has no guarantee, trial, or risk-reversal mechanism.
05
Urgency & Scarcity
Is there a real, believable reason to act now?

Manufactured urgency destroys trust. Real urgency, limited spots, seasonal relevance, a price increase, accelerates decisions. This criterion evaluates whether your urgency mechanism is credible.

Red FlagYour CTA says 'Book a free call' with no context on availability.
06
Market Fit
Is this offer built for a specific person with a specific problem?

An offer that tries to appeal to everyone converts no one. This criterion scores how precisely your offer names the person it's for, the problem it solves, and the situation they're in when they need it.

Red FlagYour offer page doesn't name a specific industry, role, or situation.
Who This Is For

Use This Worksheet If You're...

Running ads that aren't converting

Before you blame the platform, the targeting, or the creative, evaluate whether the offer itself is the bottleneck.

Getting clicks but no sales

High CTR with low conversion is almost always an offer problem, not a traffic problem. This worksheet diagnoses it in 20 minutes.

Competing on price

If you're constantly discounting to close, your offer isn't differentiated enough. This framework shows you exactly where the gap is.

Launching a new product or service

Run this worksheet before you spend a dollar on ads. It's faster and cheaper to fix the offer on paper than after a failed campaign.

Rebuilding after a failed campaign

Most agencies blame the algorithm. This worksheet gives you a structured way to identify whether the real problem was the offer all along.

Scaling an offer that's working

Even high-converting offers have ceiling leaks. This framework identifies the friction points that are capping your scale.

From Jeff Welsh, Founder
"The most expensive mistake a business owner can make is running ads to a weak offer. You're paying to amplify the problem. Fix the offer first. Then scale."
